Faculty’s History:
The Faculty of Informatics, officially established on December 9, 2009 by raising the status from the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Science that was established on October 4, 1993. Since then, the faculty of Informatics had developed the studies, researches and also produce graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology and Business Computer majors. In 2004, the master degree in Information Technology is available. In 2007, the University Council approved to open PhD program of Computer Science (Joint doctoral degree program: English program)
By carrying out the mentioned activities, they are compliance with the government policy to diversify the teaching and learning resources of university education in science and technology to the eastern of Thailand in order to support the economic, social and industrial expansion of the eastern region.
During the past period, Faculty of Informatics has served in the teaching and learning of general education courses for undergraduate students of the entire university, the specific service courses for students in certain fields which require basic knowledge of computer programming skill. More importantly, we also provide the major courses in the responsibility of the Faculty, which consists of the following courses:

Currently, Faculty of Informatics offers a total of 4 courses, with the number of students in 3 degrees (bachelor, master and doctoral degree), approximately 1,500 students. For the general and service courses (both regular and special program), 10,000 students register each year.
