🎉 On 23 June 2026, in celebration of the National Day of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Asst. Prof. Pusit Kulkasem, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics, Burapha University, together with Assoc. Prof. Krisana Chinnasarn, Acting Director of the Eastern Software Park, Faculty of Informatics, were graciously invited by H.E. Mr. Patrick Hemmer, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand, to a luncheon held at the Ambassador’s residence in Bangkok. 🏛️🍽️
💬 During the cordial two-hour meeting, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for Thailand and the Thai people, and highlighted the close relationship between Luxembourg and the Faculty of Informatics, Burapha University, which has been built upon more than 15 years of continuous academic collaboration with Prof. Pascal Bouvry from the University of Luxembourg. 🎓🌏
📚 This long-standing collaboration has encompassed both formal and informal activities, including inviting Prof. Pascal Bouvry to deliver keynote speeches at international conferences hosted in Thailand, supporting Thai students to pursue their studies at the University of Luxembourg, as well as frequent exchanges of ideas and academic networking opportunities between both institutions. 🤝🎤👨‍🎓
🚀 The Ambassador also shared his views on national development and human resource development, referring to Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) initiative and the role of Burapha University as a strategic university in the EEC area. He emphasized the importance of encouraging staff and students to gain international experience through study and work abroad, so that they can bring back knowledge and expertise to contribute to the country’s future development. 🌍💡📈
🔗 In addition, the Ambassador proposed ways to further expand and strengthen academic cooperation among relevant organizations, with a view to making such collaboration more robust and concrete in both higher education and industry, particularly in the fields of digital technology and innovation. 💻⚙️✨
🎯 To build on this strong foundation, the Faculty of Informatics, Burapha University has invited Prof. Pascal Bouvry from the University of Luxembourg to visit and engage in academic activities at the Faculty for one week in early August 2026. This visit is expected to lead to more intensive joint academic activities, collaborative research, and human resource development, bringing long-term benefits to both institutions. 🎓🔬🌟
