Faculty of Informatics Invests in Rooftop Solar Power System to Advance Clean Energy and Align with SDG 7

🔹The Faculty of Informatics, Burapha University, has implemented a rooftop solar power generation system using microinverters, installed on the faculty building to enhance energy efficiency and reduce electricity costs. The newly installed system has a maximum capacity of 30 kW, with real-time monitoring showing that the system can generate over 20 kilowatts per hour during peak sunlight. On June 30, 2025 alone, the system produced over 104 kilowatt-hours of electricity.
🔹By utilizing a microinverter-based design, the system enables individual monitoring and optimization at the panel level, improving overall performance and minimizing losses caused by partial shading or panel mismatch.✅
🔹This initiative directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, specifically Target 7.2, which aims to substantially increase the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.♻️
🔹Beyond reducing the carbon footprint, this solar installation serves as a living lab and educational resource, promoting awareness of renewable energy technologies among students and acting as a model for other academic institutions in Thailand.✅
